We don’t know about you, but a change of seasons always
makes us want to clean up and organize (hence our late summer blow-out sale
every year). Taking some great inspiration from Real Simple Magazine and The Container Store we’re giving you 5 great ways to give your closet a make over and get it ready for all of the great fall fashions.
When you’re ready to put away the sundresses, shorts,
swimsuits, and beach towels, vacuum sealed space bags work wonders! Make sure to
fold everything neatly to avoid wrinkling over the winter and slip the bag under the
bed or into the linen closet!
Short on space? Move out of season clothes into storage and
hang a second rod in your closet. Use the top for sweaters and skirts and use
the bottom for pants that are hung and folded and a half sized shoe organizer
like this one from Target.
Make sure you have plenty of room for storing accessories!
Use floor or shelf space in the closet for these clear acrylic drawers, perfect
for scarves, hats, gloves, clutches, and tights!
Hangers make a difference! Use slim hangers with no slip grip on the shoulders to make
room and keep everything in its place.
Got a great walk-in closet? Use these tips to
give you a little more space, then hang a great full length mirror to turn your
closet into your own personal dressing room.
